Korean Landscape Photos for Peter Schreyer’s Roots and Wings
In March and April 2021, I traveled all over Korea to produce photos for a book by the German publisher gestalten. The recently published Roots and Wings is a tribute to the legendary car designer Peter Schreyer, whose works propelled the South Korean motor makers Hyundai and Kia onto the global stage, making them highly regarded competitors in the auto industry.
The book’s Bavaria-Korea section – the two regions from which Mr. Schreyer drew inspiration – included some 40 photos of mine. Many thanks to the teams at gestalten and Hyundai Motor Group for the opportunity to discover some unexpected gems in my own country.
