The Lake Clinic Cambodia
While away in Siem Reap for Angkor Photo Festival & Workshops, I got connected to a local NGO The Lake Clinic Cambodia (TLC) and spent 3 days photographing the medical staff and patients in their clinic on the Stung Sen river. During the course of the past two years, this river clinic alone has served about 2800 patients in the area, and patients come to the clinic from as far as 30 km(=18 mil) because this is the only medical care they have.
TLC is an initiative founded by Jon F. Morgan. Jon has spent decades helping Cambodians help themselves and also founded Angkor Hospital for Children in 1999. These folks at TLC are doing an amazing job serving the underserved, but face a set of challenges and need as much help as they can get. I’m planning to go back in April or May to document the floating clinic on the Tonle Sap Lake.
