This show was full of creativity and positive energy. The behind-the-scenes clips were also very entertaining. There are 60 photographs in total (or so it says) in three different floors, and they capture beautifully choreographed motions of dancers and athletes. Some of them are visually superb and stunning, and some of them make you smile. They are a result of hard work and great collaboration between a photographer and his subjects.

And funny story. I walk out of the show and say goodbye to a friend and turn around. And right there I run into Mr. Jordan Matter himself. What a coincidence! I knew he was visiting Seoul for the show, but I didn’t expect to meet him in person. It was a brief encounter. We only exchanged a few words, but he had a positive and fun vibe about him. All in all, it was a good day for me, haha.

Dates: July 24, 2013 – September 22, 2013

I had to have a picture taken with him as a souvenir and a proof. ;)

Location: Savina Museum of Contemporary Arts

Savina Museum is open from 10AM to 7PM. No admission would be allowed after 6:30PM.

No closed dates during Dancers Among Us exhibit.

Though the venue is close to Anguk station, it’s rather tricky to find your way. Come out of exit #1, turn left and walk a little bit until you find Anguk Post Office. There is a small alleyway to the left of the post office and you’ll see a huge banner.

Admission fee: 8,000 won

Apparently they have a partnership with the upcoming Robert Capa exhibit at Sejong Center. If you have a ticket from either one of the two exhibits, you can get a 30% discount for the other. So don’t throw them away!
